Synopsis: The Peanuts return home to Albany, GA (aka "The Good Life City") after winning six games in a row to start the season. Steve Butler takes us on a tour of the player's disgustingly dirty house. Back at the stadium, the Peanuts are visited by former MLB slugger Cecil Fielder and manager Wally Backman chews his team out after a sloppy performance.

"Playing for Peanuts" is a new TV show about minor league baseball. The show uses reality TV and documentary techniques to follow the South Georgia Peanuts in their inaugural season. The Peanuts are made up of a mix of rookies and veterans, all hoping to get back into affiliated minor league baseball. The Peanuts are managed by former Major League second baseman Wally Backman.

Here is a new commercial that has been running on Comcast Sportsnet Chicago. "Playing for Peanuts" will premiere on Sportsnet on May 11. The crazy version of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" is performed by Whiskey on a Sunday. You can find the song on iTunes and also at Amazon.com. The band has since changed their name to Jameson's Revenge - if you are into Irish music, check out their new album.
The organ version of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" (heard at the start/end of the commercial) is from a CD available at StadiumSounds.com.
